reregistration

It is time to begin planning for the 2022-2023 school year. In the coming week, we will be launching the re-registration process. Current families have the first opportunity to secure a spot at SJCS for the coming school year and take advantage of an early registration discount. We will begin accepting new student applications on Monday, January 31.

Please be reminded that all financial accounts must be current before you will be able to reregister. If you have any questions, or have fallen behind on your account, you are encouraged to contact Mrs. Brown at sbrown@stjosephwhschool.org.

We are tentatively planning to send re-registration links to current families next Friday, January 14th for the online renewal process. Once the tuition and fees for the coming school year are approved by the Finance Council, those fees will be shared with our community and families will be billed on FACTs. The fees will be scheduled to be paid on Friday, January 28th.

Watch for more information regarding the online application and payment of registration fee in next week's Eagle's Eye.

New Devices and Charging Stations

Charging stations are in and chromebooks are making their way to all 3rd through 5th grade classrooms! Through some grant money, we were able to purchase 150 chromebooks for students in grades 3-5 and charging stations for each of the 3-5th grade classrooms. This purchase now brings us to 1:1 for all students in grades 3 through 8.

While we still find value in traditional learning with books and paper/pencil, we love the opportunity to incorporate technology into our lessons. These purchases allow class-wide lessons using technology. 3rd through 5th grade chromebooks will remain in the classroom and are not permitted to go home with students.

Lunch menu

Due to a shortage of ham by our food distributor, ham sandwiches are not going to be available on the lunch menu next week. Rather, turkey sandwiches will be offered in place of ham. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

2pm dismissal

School will dismiss at 2pm on Thursday, January 13. Aftercare will be provided.

School holiday

School will be closed on Monday, January 17th in honor of Marin Luther King's Birthday! Enjoy the long weekend with your family.

Catholic Schools Week Masses

We will kick off Catholic Schools Week by having students participate at all masses on January 29th and 30th. If your child is interested in reading or altar serving, please email Mrs. Haas at thaas@stjospehwhschool.org.

Mass times are as follows:

Saturday, January 29th at 4:30pm.

Sunday, January 30th at 7:30am and 11am.

vaccination status

If your child is fully immunized, it would be helpful to have a copy of his/her vaccination card on file in the school office. Once students are identified as being exposed to a positive individual, we will need proof of full vaccination before the exposed student can return to school. If we already have the card on file, this will just expedite the process. If you are interested, please submit a copy to the office at your convenience.

St. Joseph Prayer

O Blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of Mary, the virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all the days of my life. Therefore, I humbly ask you to receive me as your client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death. Amen.
