All Alief ISD schools and offices will be closed on Monday, November, 7, to allow our families to celebrate the historic Houston Astros World Series victory. After school activities are also canceled.

Due tot he elections taking place in many Alief schools, no school on Tuesday, November 8.

At Martin Elementary, we recognize students who go above and beyond during the school day. Teachers submit names for Champions of the Week and one student per grade level is chosen. They receive a certificate, a pencil, and have their picture taken to be placed on a bulletin board in the building. Below are the names of the Champions of the Week for the week October 31st:

For your child's safety, car rider tags need to be hung from your rear-view mirror at pick-up time. Also, kinder parent picking up kinder walkers must have the name plate in order to pick-up your child at dismissal.

To work successfully when using the computers and for COVID and lice reasons, each student should have their own set of headphones. They may bring their own from home or purchase a set from the front office for only $5.00.

Please make sure your children are reading a good book and logging into the HUB to practice at least 30 minutes of IStation and iReady each evening. Also, remind them that we have the 40+ Book Challenge going on right now.

Field Trips have already started and becoming a cleared volunteer takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish.

Every minute counts at Martin Elementary. From the moment our students our greeted at their classroom thresholds at 7:40 AM until the moment we dismiss at 3:20 PM, learning is happening. Martin overall attendance for September is 96%. Our campus goal is 98%. Please work with your children to ensure they are healthy and at school every day and arrive by the tardy bell of 7:55 am. If they are going to be absent, don't forget to send a note with your child upon their return.
