Child Nutrition Updates for the Week Ahead
Students will still need to wear masks and report immediately to the cafeteria for breakfast. They will not be allowed to sit in the gym for any period of time and then ask to go. Students should socially distance at the cafeteria tables as they do at lunch. Should participation increase, we may look at a return to the "grab-and-go" format.
Also, in preparation for the e-Learning Day on Wednesday, January 27th, students will be given a breakfast and lunch as they leave for the buses or car line on Tuesday afternoon, January 26th. All students are eligible to receive the sacked meals from Child Nutrition staff. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

School Leadership Team Updates Make-Up Work Policy for CMS Students for Second Semester
As we enter the second semester at Corner Middle School, our school’s leadership team has worked to devise a plan to better preserve the continuity of learning, develop our students’ sense of personal responsibility, and foster student academic success.
Use the PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) Model that we have integrated into our Network Improvement Community work here at CMS, our Continuous Improvement Leadership team met after the holidays to review student academic data, attendance data, and research regarding make-up work (including our own district’s policy as well as those of eight other surrounding school districts).
Factoring in changes in the learning environments for our students at CMS and incorporating a reasonable degree of grace to the current policy, our team has developed the Make-Up Work Procedures below for the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year. Because ALL STUDENTS started with a blank slate in their teachers’ grade books on Thursday, January 21, 2021, it is important to thoroughly review this set of procedures as a parent/guardian and with your student at home.
The procedures for the second semester are as follows:
