CJHS "Chargers Connection"
May 19, 2023
From the Principals...
This is our last CJHS Chargers Connection newsletter of the school year! It has truly been a pleasure connecting with everyone and learning what it means to be a CHARGER! The school year always brings many challenges, but also opportunities to reflect on what is working and how we can continue to grow as a school community! It has been our pleasure to serve you throughout the school year and can't wait to welcome you all back in August for the 2023-2024 school year. Be on the lookout for our first newsletter on August 4th!
In the meantime, let's finish off this last week of school CHARGER strong and we hope you enjoy your well deserved summer!

Memories with Team 6 Aces..
Team Aces,
Taco ‘bout a great year! You are definitely “nacho average” team, and we loved having each and every one of you! Thanks for all the great memories, especially the fun team incentives and field trips! We loved seeing you grow all year!
In science, among other things, you went through medical school, learned that heat transfer always goes from hot to cold, (say what?), and built some cool roller coasters and egg cars. Lit & Comp was full of memorable stories–from New Kid and Refugee to pirate adventures and space exploration! In social studies, we learned the continent song and traveled across the globe to so many ancient civilizations. In math we met Ratey the Math Cat, celebrated Pi Day and learned that math is everywhere!
Enjoy your summer and best of luck in seventh grade! This might be cheesy, but we’ll miss you! Thanks for all the great memories to taco ‘bout.

Each quarter, our Team selects students who have consistently displayed positive personal and educational characteristics across the core classes. We looked specifically for the traits of Grit, Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Invested in Learning, Tenacity, and Teamwork. Below you will find our first 3 quarter GRIT award earners—4th quarter will be released next week. Thank you for sharing your kids with us this year and CONGRATULATIONS to the CJHS Class of 2023!

Lastly, we understand that families/students might like to make team requests but understand that we cannot honor all of them. There are many moving parts to ensure teams are equitable in all aspects to meet the needs of all our students. Thank you for understanding!!
