7 Mindsets
We are very excited that Pleasanton ISD has adopted the 7 Mindsets curriculum to help students improve their social-emotional development. Children’s social and emotional health affects their overall development and learning. Research indicates that children who are mentally healthy tend to be happier, show greater motivation to learn, have a more positive attitude toward school, more eagerly participate in class activities, and demonstrate higher academic performance than less mentally healthy peers (Hyson 2004; Kostelnik et al. 2015).
Our mindset for the month of September is Anything is Possible! Please read the attached information to learn more about the lessons students will be learning this month. It also offers parents some do's and don'ts at home. As always, thank you for all your support, it definitely takes a team!

Child Find
If you or someone you know are concerned that your child may have a disability, your child may be eligible for an evaluation. For children who are not yet in school, parents can contact the Atascosa McMullen Cooperative (830 569-1355) to talk about evaluation. For children who are already in school, please contact the campus directly for more information. The milestone checklist in the link below shows how most children develop between ages 2-5.
