A Note from Lisa
Hello CTE Friends,
Happy New Year! I am excited to share well wishes for a bright and wonderful 2022 full of promise. Hopefully, all of you enjoyed your break and had the time to recharge your batteries.
As your first semester closed or is about to close (depending on your local calendar), we need to be sure semester 2 is cleanly in the student information system so that all CTE coding accurately reflects work that is happening. This is also the time you will want to gather details on any IBCs earned during the first semester and enter those. The best practice is to enter as you go; waiting until the end of the school year places an unnecessary burden on PEIMS staff and can be problematic if teachers are on summer break when questions arise.
Be thinking ahead to February, CTE Month, and plan how to celebrate all the amazing programs you offer and highlight student success! This is a great time to shine a light on CTE through social media and to entice future students to choose CTE as their means of meeting career goals.
As you work through these busy winter months, pull out those fuzzy sweaters, grab whatever warm beverage both soothes your soul and keeps you going, and be warmed by the frenzy of student excitement as they return to classes. I look forward to seeing you in 2022!
Best regards,
Lisa
