A Message from Ms. Cimino
During the week of May 6-10 we will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Week. We are very lucky to have the amazing and dedicated staff that we do! We are thankful for the positive influence they have on our students all year long, and are looking forward to spoiling them this week.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Annual Gift Auction! Through this event we raised over $25,000 for our students. We truly appreciate the support that we received from our families, staff, and community for this event.
As the warmer weather quickly approaches we have been asked by many parents about spring clothing. Warm weather clothing should be appropriate and safe for a busy day at school. Opened toed shoes and shoes without backs, such as sandals, and shoes that are not tightly secured can be unsafe on the playground, walking up and down stairs and walking down crowded hallways. Additionally, our school is air conditioned making some summer shorts and tops not warm enough for the classroom.
As always school attire is up to the discretion of the parent. Safety, order, and discipline is at the discretion of the school. Please help us keep your child safe and warm enough in school this spring.
PTA Blueclaws Fundraiser
Join us for Harry POTTER night at the Lakewood Blueclaws game on Friday, June 7th at 7:05PM! All tickets are $15 each ($5 of each ticket sold will benefit H&M Potter School). Tickets will be sold this week only as Harry Potter/Firework night is expected to sell out! Each student who sells a ticket is invited to participate in a pre-game parade on the field. You may also preorder fan gear that can be picked up on game night at the Claws Cove gift shop.
Buster, the mascot of the Blueclaws, will be visiting H&M Potter School this week for a special assembly to explain the prizes offered for this amazing fundraiser! Share this special opportunity to show school spirit and support our school with your friends and family!
Please have forms returned by Friday, May 3rd. Checks should be written out to Lakewood Blueclaws.

Your child's clothing.... please send in a change of clothes for your child! Accidents, spills, mud puddles, etc. happen regularly in school. When a student is uncomfortable from wet clothing, they are distracted and learning is difficult. Clothing in school saves time for everyone!
Your child's medication in school...if your child uses medication in school, it must be picked up by a responsible adult or parent at the end of the school year or it will be discarded. Each year, your child needs an updated care plan and doctor's orders to continue medication use. All medical forms are available to print online at our website www.btboe.org.
