Lifting up Others
We are so fortunate to live in a world that we share with millions of other people. Each day we have countless opportunities to add value to someone's life.
As educators those opportunities are multiplied. To me it is the why I do what I do. Pouring into the lives of students, families, and educators is my purpose. I strive everyday to have a positive impact on those I am fortunate to encounter. Sadly, like many educators I get bogged down in the day to day portions of school. I forget how awesome it is to be able to impact others.
Next week is Random Acts of Kindness Week at Audubon. Each day you pour so much of yourself into our students, families, and teammates. This week I am not going to challenge you to be kind.....you do that frequently, instead I challenge you to recognize your impact. I am giving you permission to pat yourself on the back for the extra patience you showed that one student or with me. Celebrate the small successes that may not have happened without you. You guys are awesome! Every person who walks through this door is fortunate to have you in their lives.
