Closely related to monkeys, Baboons are some of the world's largest, and Olive Baboons are just one of five different Baboon species. Usually living in Africa or Arabia, Olive Baboons prefer semi-arid or savanna habitats. Baboons are omnivorous and have a wide ranged diet. They typically eat fruits, seeds, flowers, insects, eggs, and rodents. If they are a larger baboon, they will kill larger prey such as gazelles.

Social Interactions
Olive baboons are highly social animals that travel together in troops as small as fourty, and as large as one hundred. This particular baboon species communicartes using visual signals and vocalizations. Since they live with males and females, there is fierce competion for males to mate with females. Males follow a strategy of developing "friendships" with females in order to increase their chances of mating.
