Hi Everyone,

What a lovely start to Term Four! We have been delighted to welcome everyone back to Holy Rosary! From last week’s ‘Week Zero’ newsletter you will have discerned that there is much to do and much to enjoy. Certainly, we hope to see you at the events whenever you can get there.

In all of this, Term Four is a solid teaching and learning term, right through to the end of the year. We work hard to maintain a calm, productive, engaging and enjoyable learning environment, because we want the best for the children in our care.

Thank you for your support,

Mark

About Next Week

  • Sports training begain this week and the children appear so enthusiastic!

  • Best wishes to all children preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. On Wednesday the parent/guardian and child workshops take place, followed by attending mass on Saturday or Sunday, to make the commitment to receiving the sacrament. Please keep the families involved in your prayers.

  • Friday morning’s school mass should be lovely and you are welcome to join us.

  • And of course Friday afternoon’s P&F organised ‘Colour Run’ will be a hoot! Details, including wearing Colour Run suitable clothing to school can be found in this newsletter.

Capital Works Update

Finally, the fencing to the front of the school was approved by the City of Stirling, and the site meeting took place yesterday. It will take around 4 weeks to fabricate and will then be erected. The fence will be surrounding the Year Six classrooms, the re-acquired classrooms where Year Three are, and the car park, completing the security to the front of the school. Again, as with our Siena Centre and Admin, the journey has been a torturous one, and I thank City of Stirling Councillor Elizabeth Re who again actively sought solutions at Council level to assist us. This helped immensely.

Reroofing the former Year One classrooms has been quoted. We are now in the hands of CEWA (Catholic Education Western Australia) awaiting their approval, following which we will again be applying to the City of Stirling for permits.

Hot Tip for State Government Employees

Did you know most State Government departments offer their employees two, paid days of Community Involvement Leave each year?

These days could be utilised well to help in the school canteen without having to use one of your precious annual leave days! Working in the canteen is also a great way to meet other awesome parents and see the kids smiles at lunch time.

To join the canteen fun (it is not hard or scary) please email admin@hrs.wa.edu.au or text Leanna on 0414 953 958.
