SOL Testing Throughout the Building
On Tuesday, SOL testing begins. Please remind students to be quiet in the halls and encourage everyone to be supportive of our students who have worked so hard to do their best! If you go outside, please stay away from testing areas remembering that students who are testing get distracted when they see others outside playing.
Also, testing classes will have PE during the last block of the day. Please be flexible with your schedules, since we never know how long students will need to complete their tests, and lunch times may need tweaking……
SOL Building Preparation
Classrooms and hallways must be prepared for student testing by Monday, May 13th. This includes removing or covering any information that could be considered a testing advantage for a student. Some examples include: order of operations, vocabulary walls, reading skill posters, scientific investigation process, etc. Please check the hallway for anything that needs to be taken down as well.
Also, students should test in an environment that is comfortable and allows works space to be utilized effectively. Children MAY test in flexible seating options (bucket seats, backless chairs, etc) but should NOT test in seating that may be a distraction (wobble chairs, exercise balls, etc.). Rooms will be checked on Monday, May 13 for testing conditions.
THANK YOU EVERYONE for for ALL of your hard work leading up to testing and helping our students do their best on the test!!!!
