Standardized Testing from a Growth Mindset Perspective

With high stakes testing, some students believe that the test tells them how smart they are. Students sometimes come away from standardized testing thinking they are defined by these tests--that the test tells them if they are a smart person or not. It would be helpful to have a conversation with students from a Growth Mindset perspective. These tests are not a measure of students' potential, but what they have learned so far.
