Principal's Weekly Update
October 30, 2020
Dear Wamsutta Families,
The weather has certainly taken a turn for the worse this week, and I want to remind students that they should be dressed for the weather, as we hope to get the students fresh air during mask breaks for as long as we possibly can. Obviously, days like today we will stay inside, but when we have a bit of sun and it's not frigid, we'd certainly like to head outside.
I have new information about our Holiday food drive, required immunizations, after school virtual chorus, the dates and times for virtual parents conferences, and winter art classes below.
I hope our students and families enjoy a safe and healthy Halloween.
Thank you for your time,
Joseph Connor, WMS
Principal
Holiday Food Drive
New This Year: Required Influenza Vaccine
According to the State of Massachusetts Immunization Guidelines, ALL Students, hybrid and virtual (AVA) are required to have the influenza vaccine or mist by December 31, 2020. This vaccine requirement is an important step in reducing flu-related illness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please make an appointment with your child's doctor or if your child meets the qualifications you may take them to a local CVS, Walgreens or Urgent Care. Make sure to call before you go! Please send in the written documentation to the school nurse. Please call the school nurse with any questions. Thank you.
