GBE Vision Statement:
GBE Students want to be a Champion in:
Attitude, Action, and Academics
Reflection from the Week:
Positive Referrals is another way noticed this week to celebrate students. Two of our older students came to the office beaming with a referral saying they have never had a positive referral, and this was their first one. Such a great way to encourage that hard work and responsible skills they show in different ways. That moment of shining on a positive can help grow our students to use their best efforts in all situations.
As we go through the next few months keep this in mind and continue to celebrate our kids. Even the littlest of notices goes a long way with kids.
Have a good weekend-
Angie

A Word from our PBS Coaches:
Active Supervision:
This is one of the eight essentials to PBS! Please be sure you are actively supervising in all areas. Also, make sure you are passing out those Spartan Tickets for all of the positive behaviors we are seeing throughout the building!
Glow Stick Dance Party for Students- PBS Success Incentive- Info from Mrs. David
I have scheduled the following days and times for our dance party for our students. Please let me know if any of you would be available to help supervise. I am trying to have at least 3 of us in there during these times. Also, we are looking at having different incentives similar to this, so I may be asking in the future for other days as well.
3rd Grade: Monday September 17th from 3-3:30pm
4th Grade: Tuesday September 18th from 3-3:30pm
5th Grade: Thursday September 27th from 3-3:30pm
Reminders Re Hallways and Arrive/Dismissal Supervision
To increase our ability to actively supervise students and assist our colleagues Angie and I are asking that everyone is standing in their doorway so you can monitor your own class and assist with hallway supervision. With everyone in their doorway, this increases the presence of adults to supervise students and assist in keeping students calm as they move to and from classes.
As students are in the hall, please remind them to walk to the right and to talk with soft voices so announcements can be heard.
We appreciate your help because it takes a legion of Spartans to help our students to be successful.
