Week of April 15-19

Who Said Camps are for Summertime?

I am so excited for next week to roll around because I have so many wonderful review activities, games, and ideas planned for my kiddos. We know that our kids have been working so hard and have come so far; we are beyond happy with their progress!

With preparing for STAAR- many kids start to feel the pressure and sometimes feel overwhelmed. While I am continuing my power of positive thinking talks- the 4th grade teachers have decided that what might help- is a change in environment and activities. So after much discussion and preparation, we are ready to roll out "Camp Among the STAARS" next week.

To help transform our classrooms into camping sites, students will be allowed to bring certain items from home, as long as each item is labeled with their name. Below are the approved items and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

Camping Equipment:

  • MUST have a dry erase marker
  • Lawn Chair- these are the chairs that can be folded and placed in a carrying bag. Please no reclining chairs or chairs with an awning/ canopy.
  • Blanket- must fit in their backpack or other small bag
  • Pillow- must fit in a bag
  • Flashlight or flameless candle
  • Feel free to wear any camo and camping attire this week!

Much Love,
