Therapy dogs

Therapy Dogs, Abner and Baxter, came to visit the Full Time Learning Support students for the second time this year. The students in the FTLS program collected 6 containers of tabs that Abner and Baxter will take to the Ronald McDonald House. This is an ongoing activity that the class does throughout the year. Each time they collect a certain amount the dogs come in for a visit.

During this visit the students interviewed the handlers, Mr. Steve Kramer and his wife Mrs. Donna Kramer. They asked them questions about the two dogs and what training is needed in order to become a therapy dog. The FTLS students then took that information and completed a writing piece in their English class.

We are looking forward to more visits from Abner and Baxter!
