What's Been Happening!

We have lots going on this week!! IRead starts Monday and we test Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please make sure students are getting plenty of rest and a good breakfast! The box book reports look great! I can't wait to post pictures of them! We had a wonderful week celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and seeing everyone dressing up in Seuss attire! Thank you for all who participated! We will finish out the week with a field trip uptown Anderson! We can't wait to talk with our public service professionals. Make sure to fill out the permission slip and return it as soon as possible. Last week before spring break! Let's work hard and have fun and enjoy our last week before vacation!

What's coming up......

March 7-9 - IREAD testing for 3rd graders.

March 8 - 1st Grade and Special Ed. Music Program and Fine Arts Night. The Art display will be open at 5:00pm for your viewing. The Music program will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Students who are in the program need to be here at 5:45pm.

March 9 - Literacy Night from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. "Studio of Colors" presented by the Indianapolis Children's Museum and Title 1. Be inspired by the colorful work of artist Dale Chihuly. Make your own art sculpture using balloons, practice abstract painting techniques, and use transparency film to make 3-D art. Don' t miss out on this great evening for your family at E2!

March 11 - Beach Day - Students pay $1 and staff pays $2. Students may wear Hawaiian shirts or brightly colored shirts for Beach Day. Students may wear school uniform pants, capris, or knee length or longer shorts or skirts (in khaki, brown, black, navy, or gray). NO jeans, NO flipflops, NO swimsuits, NO towels, NO sandals.
