Dear Mustang Families,
Students have been working hard to have a strong start to second quarter. We are fortunate to have such amazing students and staff at Manitou Springs Middle School! With two weeks remaining until break, we are encouraging students to stay focused, work hard, and have fun. Enjoy this week's newsletter.
What's happening next week:
- Wednesday, November 10th - late start Wednesday
- Thursday, November 11th (Veteran's Day and new Enrichment classes for students)
- Monday, November 8th - home vs. Peyton
- Wednesday, November 10th - away vs. CSCS
Students created virtual word walls in Mrs. Huntington's World Language Class to support their second language acquisition.
Students and staff had a blast dressing up for Halloween this year!
Teachers have been purposefully planning collaborative learning experiences for students. Here, students are engaged in a hands on task in their 7th grade social studies class.
Professional Development at Manitou Springs Middle School
This week our staff engaged in professional development during late start Wednesday. We reflected on our core values of Relationships, Deep Learning, and Opportunity. Our current professional learning includes creating opportunities that engage all students through meaningful reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. We love to model the value of lifelong learning for our students!
