My Book Poems
By: Jasmine Lopez Martinez
I am a tree,
Growing very quickly.
My leaves change color,
They fall to the ground.
I make people greeted
when the leaves fall.
I am a tree
Playing video games
Laugh a lot
Always having fun
Yelling a lot
Red is the color of a stalking.
Red smells like fresh cherry pie.
Red tastes like my favorite skittles.
Red sounds like a cool car.
Red looks like a volcano.
Red feels like blood.
Red makes me want to go to rue 21.
Red is an apple.
Makes me think of Poem
Snow makes me think of snowcones.
Snowcones makes me think of water.
Water makes me think of lemonade.
Lemonade makes me think of ice.
Ice makes me think of snowflakes.
Snowflakes makes me think of winter.
It gets nectar from flowers
and it flies away.
My hair is brown like trees.
My energy runs like a jaguar.
My attitude is like a flower.
My courage is strong like the forest.
I'm the tall flowers in autumn.
I am nature.
The spicy chicken caught her on fire.
She dumped a bucket of cold water on herself.
She was still on fire, she drank all the water.
I got the fire extinguisher before she burned the house.
Everything she touch got on fire, she couldn't go to school or do anything.
She couldn't be inside the house.
She stop the fire with a sour patch that her friend gave to her.
The spicy chicken was the best one I ever taste.
I asked for another one.
Right above my nose,
Right below my eyebrows.
You are still very special,
Even if you don't see very well.
Eyes, I am glad I have you,
Glad that you let me see the world.
And all the things in it.
If I was blind it wouldn't be the same.
I wouldn't see the sparkling sea,
The big tree in my yard,
Or the shining sunrise.
I would never see the excitement of the circus,
Or the gentle flowers.
So eyes, I just want to tell you once again,
I'm glad to know you're there,
Right above my nose.
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw the crowd,
A host of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
