Russell Review
June 2022
Message From Principal Blake
Well, here it is. The final edition of the Russell Review is out. That can only mean one thing... summer vacation is just around the corner. It is so hard to believe that in just a few short weeks we will be sending students home for the last time.
Despite the ongoing challenges presented this year, we have accomplished so much. I hope that the children are proud of their many accomplishments and they recognize just how hard they have worked to get where they are today.
That same sentiment is recognized for the families in our community and the staff at Russell School. I continue to be impressed at your ability to persevere through difficult situations and constantly adapt to the many unknowns we face daily. We certainly could not have done any of this without you!
Included in this month's newsletter you will find a number of important dates to remember and several changes for the upcoming weeks. Additionally, please be on the lookout for communications via Seesaw. We will be utilizing Seesaw to communicate the many events and activities that occur at the school and classroom level through the platform. We want to do our best to keep everyone in the loop as we wrap up the school year.
As always, if there is anything we can do in these final weeks to support your family, please be sure to reach out. We are happy to help in any way we can!
I would like to close by sharing that I am deeply grateful that I have been able to forge solid relationships with so many of your students and with you as a byproduct. This community makes it easy to want to get up in the morning and come to work. Your students are the best around, and I am sure to tell everyone that every chance I get!
Enjoy your summer break and I look forward to seeing you when our paths cross once again!
Be well,
Mr. Blake
