Dear HCS Families
Reflecting on the past school year makes us realize how fortunate we are at Hinesburg Community School. Our school has been successful due, in part, to the wonderful collaborative partnership between students, staff members, parents, volunteers and community members. We would like to take this opportunity to thank PiE for their continued support and contributions and for dedicating a great deal of time and resources to provide beneficial activities, programs and events to the students and staff of HCS.
As a reminder, today is the last day for the late bus. The last day for 8th grade students is Thursday, June 13 with graduation at 6:00 pm. The last day for K-7 students is Friday, June 14, with dismissal at 11:45. Field day is also scheduled for Friday, June 14!
Have a happy, relaxing, and safe summer with your children. We look forward to seeing everyone upon our return for the 2019-2020 school year!
Warmly,
Suzan and John

Ms. Zavadil's Class Donates to the Humane Society!

On Sunday, June 9th, 11 students will be running/walking to support the Humane Society at the 25th Annual Walk for the Animals and 5k Doggie Fun Run! They’ve raised over $600 in donations!
Summer Student Information Updates go Electronic
Starting this summer, the Champlain Valley School District will move to an online platform for some student paperwork. This will include not only the summer student information update sheet and health form, but basic registration forms and other permissions and updates as well.
Previously, summer update forms were printed and mailed home for families to review, make updates and corrections, and return to school. This summer we expect to send the summer update forms to families via email, with the ability to complete and submit back to the school electronically. As always, the timely return of the requested information is important so that we have accurate emergency contact and medical information before your student begins in August.
