3 steps for students:
1) Print and complete the CRF
2) Enter course selection onto Synergy/Student Vue/Course Request
3) Submit/upload onto Canvas the completed and signed CRF, AP contract if taking one or more AP classes, and for seniors a Double Off Roll permission form, if applicable. Please follow detailed CRF Instructions sheet.

ASB Events
GAME PIGEON TOURNAMENT: March 1st - 5th. Follow on the ASB Instagram (@dnhsasb) for daily updates! The championship game will be hosted on Friday with a surprise matchup! 😉
ASB STUDENT SURVEY: March 7th - 26th. Be on the lookout for the ASB survey! It will be sent out to students as an email and will be linked on the ASB Instagram (@dnhsasb).
THE GLOBAL UPLIFT PROJECT (FORMERLY ONE DOLLAR FOR LIFE) FUNDRAISER: March 22nd - 26th. The Global Uplift Project (TGUP; https://tgup.org) promotes effective altruism by building small-scale, high impact projects in the developing world. These include classrooms, medical clinics, water systems, science labs, playgrounds and other projects that improve life chances for some of the poorest people in the world. 100% of every dollar donated to TGUP goes to the donor’s intended project. Additional donation details to follow.
Athletics Department Update
The Governor, CDPH, and CIF gave updated guidance on Friday, Feb 19th, which allows for many sports to begin soon.

Peer Counseling & DNHS Food Bank Food Drive
Peer Counseling and DNHS Food Bank will host a food drive March 15-19th. Collection bins will be out front all week or drive-by to drop off food/supplies on March 16th from 3-5pm.
Career Presentations - CTE (Career Technical Education) Pathways
Each spring the Counseling Department hosts career presentations. This year we continue this tradition virtually. We will also be focusing on the CTE Pathways offered by PUSD. These lunchtime visits give students the opportunity to learn first-hand about different professions that might interest them as well as classes offered at Del Norte to fulfill a pathway. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with professionals in our community.

· Monday, March 1st – Career in Marketing: Speaker starting in retail distribution then received an MBA leading to a position in international brand management with P&G. After P&G, hired by Intuit focusing on technology product marketing and now works in employee brand marketing.
· Wednesday, March 3rd – Small Business Owner: Presenter will discuss a career as a small on-line business owner. Discussions will focus on building an on-line business, marketing products, product markup, inventory, customer service and much more.
HEALTH SCIENCE & MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY (virtual lunch meetings, 11:25 – 11:55) Join Zoom Meeting
· Tuesday, March 16th – The speaker is a scientific director (CSO) of a local biotech company that is working on vaccines, including COVID 19 and others against cancer. The presenter has a PhD and has been in the field for over 25 years. Currently, oversees several departments and can offer students insight on getting hired after college.

· Tuesday, March 23rd - Electrical Engineer at Fitbit which is now part of Google
· Wednesday, March 24th from 3:30-4:30 Sony Corporation will be hosting a virtual after school Career Session. This event is open to multiple PUSD high schools.

· Wednesday, April 7th – We will have a speaker from San Diego-based NewSchool of Architecture & Design. · Wednesday, March 31 – Product Engineer with decades of experience delivering production software at marquee companies such as Adobe, Omniture, Avalara, MP3.com and DivX. Currently the CTO and cofounder of CasperLabs, the team building the Casper blockchain.

Poway Unified Hiring Instructional Assistants

Del Norte is looking for great candidates who can join our team as an Instructional Assistant - Special Education. We have openings for three-hours or six-hours per day positions. Positions that are 20 hours or more per week have FULL BENEFITS.
Work Permits
Students under the age of 18 years of age are required by state law to have a work permit issued through their home school. During virtual learning, students can drop off completed work permit applications (form B1-1) and school forms with our security team at the front office on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please expect three to four days for processing.
