Book Check out: Starts Tuesday 9/7


TEACHERS

  • We can help you find print or online resources for your lessons. Just ask:)
  • Can check out books anytime!
  • Will learn more about new System "destiny" & how it can help you during a future PLT


  • Any questions/concerns see Amy:)

CHECK OUT:
  • During LRC class with ID badge lanyards
  • Focus on LRC curriculum: Promotion of "Love of reading"
  • Focus on interest, & 100% CHOICE w/ good fit guidance using iPICK method


GUIDELINES:
  • ELS (K-3), K, 1st --- check out 1 book once a week
  • ELS (4/5), 2nd --- check out 2 books once a week
  • 3rd, 4th ---check out 3 books every other week
  • 5th --- check out 4 books every other week


OPEN LIBRARY = EVERY DAY ---9:30-3:30
  • Need pass/approval from classroom, no more than 4 students at a time
  • Students use independence to find appropriate materials/books
  • May bring entire class. Teacher will check out & supervise

BOOK RETURN
  • All books returned/renewed with students during their LRC time
  • Only ELS class book returns/renews in AM
  • Students responsible for returning/renewing books on their LRC day during LRC
  • Encourage student responsibility per PBIS, less teacher responsibility
  • If student doesn't return any book= no check out
  • Class/teacher list of over dues processed 2x/month, placed in teacher mailbox
