Niswonger Care
Hello Seniors from your Niswonger Advisor (Adria Shannon),
With the school year coming to an end, I want to remind you to join our Big Bright Future summer program. This program is free and ensures that you have a contact person to help with college items over the summer (we can communicate through text message!). At the end of May, I will enter all seniors from DB/DBE who signed up into a drawing for a $50 gift card. I have included the link below where students can sign up.
"Getting ready for college can be stressful, especially during this challenging time. For assistance from a NiswongerCARE Advisor during the summer, sign up for Big Bright Future! This allows you to receive text messages about important reminders and information for your specific college and an easy way to reach out when you have questions. And the best part? If you sign up by May 30th, you will be entered to win one of three $50 Amazon Gift Cards! To sign up, Click Here "

⬇️ 2020 Census Information ⬇️
Responding to the census is not only your civic duty; it also affects the amount of funding your community receives, how your community plans for the future, and your representation in government. Specifically, data from the 2020 Census are used to:
- Ensure public services and funding for schools, hospitals, and fire departments.
- Plan new homes and businesses and improve neighborhoods.
- Determine how many seats your state is allocated in the House of Representatives.
Distance Learning Information & Resources
School News App by Edlio
We have started to use the School News app by Edlio, an activity feed for consuming alerts, news, and events for participating schools. It’s a simple way to view the school’s news feeds and calendars, and also receive push notifications directly from us.
It’s free to download to your iOS or Android phone and quick to set up:
- Go to the App Store or Google Play and search for “School News by Edlio” to install.
- Open the app and search for D-B EXCEL; tap “Add School.” If you have kids in other Edlio-powered schools, add them to the app too.
- Enable push notification by going to the Alerts tab and tapping “Enable Notifications.”
All of the news and events posted to our website are posted here for easy access. You can also add multiple Edlio-powered schools and/or districts to gather all news, events, and alerts in this one app. We’ll send push notifications out to keep you updated on urgent news.
