Moon Phases with Oreos ~ Stop Motion Videos
By Harrison, Eli, Ben, and Drew
Happy weekend! 3A has learned about the Sun, Earth, and finally Earth’s Moon, “Luna”. People say the moon is cheese, but 3A wanted a sweeter treat that looked like the moon. Can you think of what it could be? I’ll give you a hint. Its milk’s FAVORITE cookie… It is an Oreo!!! We took off one side of the Oreo and carved the frosting to make moon phases. After we made all of the phases including a crescent, gibbous, half, full, and new moon, we made stop motion songs and videos explaining the phases of the moon revolving around the Earth. Down below you can watch our stop-motion videos. This has been 3A news with Harrison, Eli, Ben, and Drew.
We gotta go there is a gigantic tidal wave behind us.
(P.S. the moon causes tides.)
Indian King Tavern
By Amelia, Lily, Amanda, Sam, and Sabrina
“What’s up peeps?” This is 3A with the haps in the class. (“Cue the intense music, Bob.)”
This week we went on a field trip to the Indian King Tavern. Some volunteers gave us a tour of the upstairs and the downstairs of the Tavern. We learned some really cool facts! Like there candles were made out of animal fat. We also saw some pretty cool food that made us pretty hungry. We loved the Indian King Tavern!!!!!!
