A Message from Mrs. Caudill
I hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving break and you had time to rest and rejuvenate with your family and friends. It is so hard to believe that it is December! We are one-third of the way through our school year. Our weather continues to change day by day. Please make sure children are dressed appropriately and have necessary items for outdoor recess. Snow has started to arrive and with that comes snow pants, snow boots, hats, and gloves. Don't forget you write your student's name on their belongings. Thank you for helping us to make sure that all children can enjoy outdoor recess.
At Amerman we honor the greatness in every child. We embrace the talents and passions of each individual and challenge them to dream big. We recognize that every child has a story that deserves to be told and that every child has a gift to share with the world. We can all make a difference and we each have the power to impact the world around us.
We are a school family that supports the needs of the whole child through partnerships with parents and community. Thank you for all that you do to support your child through their story of learning this year and beyond!
With Gratitude,
Devon Caudill

Student Absences
If your child will be absent or tardy, please do the following: Call the Amerman Schools Attendance Line at (248) 465-2105 at any time prior to 9:15 a.m. on the day of the absence. Simply listen to the recording, press the appropriate number for Amerman School, and leave a message including: your child's name, teacher's name, whether your child will be absent or tardy, and the reason for the absence or delay. Please note that the prompts may change from time to time.
For your child's protection, we will attempt to contact a parent at home or work if we do not hear from you. In order to avoid unnecessary calls to your home or place of employment, we ask for your cooperation in calling the attendance line whenever your child will be absent or tardy.
This needs to be done in addition to emailing and notifying the classroom teacher. For the absence to be considered excused, the office needs to be notified.
Thank You!! Thank You!!

Holiday Staff Gift Giving made Simple by the PTA!
The holidays are quickly approaching! If you are planning to give a holiday gift to a staff member, consider using the Amerman GiftCrowd service. A gifting page listing our entire beloved staff has been created at the link below. Beginning now through 11:59pm on 12/20/19, parents can join in on a group gift to any staff member, choosing their own personal contribution amount and including a personalized message. On 12/21/19, each group gift will be electronically delivered to each staff member. Staff can choose from over 100 types of gift cards, using either the entire amount collected on one card or splitting it up among different cards — without any fees!
This is a great way to thank a classroom or specials teacher, custodian, aide, administrative assistant, para-professional or even Kids Club staff member for their hard work this year!
