Big picture

From the Principal

Dear St. Jude School Families:

Today marks the end of the first quarter. It sure has been a busy start to the school year! It was a pleasure to see our families at the 75th Mass celebration with Bishop Perez. So many stopped over to the Open House, and the halls were buzzing with excitement. Thank you to all those who cooked, served, and helped to clean up. When we all work together, many hands indeed make light work. It is heartwarming to be surrounded by such an involved group of families, dedicated staff, and an active parish community. I hope each of you has a fantastic weekend.

Many blessing,

Mrs. Molly Hibler.

Helping Hands Letter of Thanks

I want to commend the following students for their help this past Saturday at our food distribution at the pantry:

Helen Bolger, Kenya Simpson, Joseph Simpson, Evan Smith, Brendon O'Donnell, Sammy Zambataro, Lauren Hahn, Zach Pearl, and Whisper Carter.

These students did a fantastic job and should be recognized for it. We had a very, very busy distribution. 120 families showed up at the beginning, and that increased to over 160 by 2 PM. The kids, for the most part, acted as runners taking the groceries in the carts to the clients' vehicles. It was hectic and crazy, but they stayed with it, focused and on point through to the end.

They were very kind and respectful to our clients (not the easiest thing to do, sometimes) and extremely polite and cooperative with all the volunteers with whom they worked.

Please extend our appreciation for their hard work and for giving up of their free time on the weekend to help us and our families. They were absolutely awesome! A real affirmation of all that you do at St. Jude School.

We look forward to working with these youngsters again, in the months to come. We will certainly need them at our Thanksgiving Distribution, November 17th...when we anticipate 350 families.

It's Box Top Time

2018-19 Box Top Submission deadlines are November 1 and March 1, so please keep those dates in mind as there are expiration dates on the box tops. Ideally, class collections in October and February to prepare for submission dates, bundled if you can in groups of 50 using an envelope or Ziploc type bag. Expired Box tops cannot be included for credit, so please remove these before sending into the classroom. Classroom contest for the most collected so makes sure homeroom number is on submissions. PTO appreciates family effort/support as the money earned for the school will help fund school projects and events. Check out the BOX-Top Bonus App to earn even more for the school. This app is in addition to the code on products. Your store receipt can be uploaded for bonus points. Log into to learn more.
