Summer Camp at The Cottages!
Week of June 17th
Aquatic Adventures: At the Shore
Summer is here and many of us are enjoying a little rest and recreation at the beach. This week we will discuss the seashore. What animals live on the beach? Why is it important to clean up our trash when we leave the beach? What are some of our favorite things to do at the beach with our friends and family? On Friday we will have a Beach Safety Presentation by a Sarasota County Lifeguard.
The ice cream truck will stop by The Cottages every Monday afternoon for a nice cool treat to start our week!
Teacher Tales Tuesdays - a theme related story by a different Cottage Teacher each week!
Water Play Wednesdays - come dressed to get wet & wild!
Children should come to school dressed in their bathing suit underneath their regular clothes. Parents should send a towel and water shoes (no flip flops as they are a safety hazard and slippery when wet) for their child to use during water play. Separate shoes for water play are required as children may not be on the mulch without shoes. Their shoes will get soaked during water play, so a dry pair is needed for each child to wear after water play is complete. Sunscreen must be applied in the morning before coming to school. If you would like us to reapply after nap, please complete a medication form and supply us with sunscreen for your child. Sunscreen will be kept in the sunscreen bin in your child's classroom. Please remember to label your child's towel and sunscreen with their first and last name. Thank you!
Themed Thursdays - come accessorized according to the week's theme!
Mismatched Clothes Day!
Fabulous Fridays - FUN in-house field trip!
