Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians

It is hard to believe how quickly the term is going. This term promises some exciting events for students and their families, so please keep an eye on the calendar, seesaw messages and the newsletter, to ensure you have the information you need for a fun and exciting term.

On Wednesday, 18 October we had our Year Three Liturgy with the theme of Penance. The prayer service led by Fr. Leonard, was a deeply meaningful and spiritual experience for our young students. With his gentle guidance and wise words, Fr. Leonard helped our children understand the importance of seeking forgiveness and reconciliation in their lives. As he spoke to them about the significance of penance and the opportunity for a fresh start, the students were engaged and attentive, gaining a greater understanding of the values of compassion and forgiveness. Thank you to our Year Three staff, students and parents for attending.

Today, some of our Year 4-6 students attended the Interschool Athletics Carnival. It was a resounding success, and we thank our dedicated staff who made it all possible. A big thank you to Mrs Clarkson and Mr Rebeiro for their tireless efforts in training and preparing our students for this event. Their commitment to developing our young athletes and instilling in them, the values of discipline and sportsmanship is truly commendable. We also extend our appreciation to Miss Collins, Mr Fitzgibbons and Mr Hunter, who provided invaluable support on the day of the carnival. It's through the collective efforts of these staff that our students were able to shine on the interschool, athletics stage.

Well done to our Kindy and Pre Primary classes for raising an amazing $3708 in their Bike-a-thon last week. The money raised will go towards play equipment in the Early Years Area.

Wishing all of our staff, students and families a wonderful weekend.

In gratitude

Emma Fernandez

Acting Principal

We have teamed up with a small local business, "Addicted to Bows", who make gorgeous hair accessories in our school colours.

To help with our ongoing fundraising efforts, we will receive a donation of at least 30% for each direct order.

Not only will this donation help our school with future projects, but we hope it will also encourage students to uphold our uniform policy and wear the school colours with pride.

To assist you with your purchasing, samples of the hair bows and hair ties will be available for viewing in the front office from the beginning of term 4.

All orders need to be submitted by 5pm WST Friday 27th October and bows will be delivered to school for distribution from Friday 17th November 2023.
