Cookie Day

Cookie Day is back this year at Winchester! Once a month students will have the opportunity to purchase a chocolate chip cookie for 50 cents. Please see the following list of ingredients so you can make an informed decision for your child:

Chocolate Chip Cookie

Whole wheat flour, enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine, mononitrate, [vitamin B1], riboflavin [vitamin B2], folic acid), sugar, eggs, vegetable shortening (canola oil, palm oil with mono and diglycerides), semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, salt, artificial flavor), oats, cream cheese (pasteurized milk and cream, cheese culture, salt, stabilizer [carob bean gum and/or guar gum and/or xanthan gum], modified wheat starch. Contains 2% or less of water, inulin, salt, leavening (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum phosphate), dairy blend (whey, sodium caseinate, nonfat milk, soy lecithin, calcium phosphate, calcium oxide), soy lecithin, natural flavor.

Contains milk, egg, wheat and soybean products *Consuming raw cookie dough increases your risk of food borne illness.

Lunch/Recess Aide Needed

Winchester is looking to hire someone to help during our students' lunch/recess time. If you're interested or know anyone interested in working during this time, please contact Mrs. Lindsay @ 248-465-2400.

Parents at Lunch (PALs)

The Parents at Lunch (PAL) program is looking for volunteers to help in the cafeteria. PAL is a PTA sponsored program that provides support at lunch from 11:45-12:35 PM daily. This is a great opportunity to be present in school for your child, while providing valuable support to Winchester staff in the lunchroom. Sign up for as many times as you’d like using the following link:


Don’t forget the Back-to-School forms including Student Code of Conduct, Concussion Form, Technology Use Agreement, Media Release Authorization, Bring Your Own Device, iChat Volunteer Form, and Listserv signup are available to complete online! Parent and student should be present when completing this as there are digital signatures needed. Please complete prior to the first day of school using the following link:

Northville's Heritage Festival Returns

Northville’s annual Heritage Festival Parade featuring NPS third graders will be held in downtown Northville on Friday, September 15 at 6:30 pm. Children and adults in need of Victorian era clothing are encouraged to look in the clothing exchange basket in the school’s lobby. Additionally, the Northville Historical Society is holding a one-day sale of new and gently used items on September 10, from 11 am to 6 pm in The New School Church at Mill Race Historical Village.

S.O.R. (Society of Readers)

It is time to get our Society of Readers Program up and running. This year we are proud to announce that we have an entire website dedicated to the S.O.R. program. Here you will find all the monthly reading logs, remind sign up, and additional information explaining how the program works.

Physical Education - Fall 2017

Welcome Back! We hope that you have had an active summer full of physical activity! This fall Ms. Haite will be at Winchester every day (my 22nd year in the district) and we are thrilled to have Mr. Dicken and Ms. Lenahan back at Winchester as well!

Cub Scouts - Grade 1-5

Cub Scout Pack 903 invites boys in 1st-5th grade to join the Pack! Come and learn about scouting at Winchester Wednesday 9/13 6:30pm in the Dragon's Den. Our regular monthly meeting will follow at 7:30. Hope to see you there!

After School Science

NEW!! Join us for this SEVEN WEEK session of hands-on science exploring! Students will discover how planes fly, create a spooky science lab, make a film canister rocket and much more. Each week students will take home their science creations to continue exploring them at home!
