Reading with the Eagles THIS Thursday!!

The Allen Eagle football players, trainers, mascot and cheerleaders will be coming to our campus this Thursday, 9/5 - TOMORROW!

Cheerleaders will be selling ribbons beginning at 7:25 am for $1 each for students to purchase. Football players will read in classrooms to students in Kindergarten thru 2nd grade. Students in upper grades will meet with players for a Q & A session and then the whole school will gather in the hallways to cheer our Allen Eagles as they parade around the building!

We are encouraging staff and students to wear their Allen Eagle attire or something red, white or blue to show our support!

Celebrating Our Students: Positive Office Referrals

We are so excited to celebrate students who receive “positive office referrals” this year! “Positive Office Referrals” are for students who are always doing the right thing and teachers feel the need to recognize them for any of the following:

  • Student is going above and beyond what is expected.
  • Student has significant improvement on previous areas of concern.
  • Student is consistently a great student who is quietly amazing.
  • Student helps and is considerate of others.
  • Student is a true leader and an example of the Vaughan Viking Creed.

Office staff will call the student’s parent with the student and celebrate their greatness! Each classroom teacher can celebrate 2 students per month.

The first celebration is SEPTEMBER 13th! The celebration will be in the gym from 11:10 am-12:25 pm for lunch and a movie. We look forward to making some positive calls soon! These students will also be featured on the announcements the Tuesday following our celebration.
