Ms. Quick's Class
November 20, 2015
This week in Class...
Writing: The student are doing really well writing the sight words they know when they write but they sort of break down when asked to sound out a word they would like to write that they don't know how to spell. We will continue to work on it!
Math: This week we continued to work with the terms: greater, more, fewer and less. This has been a bit of a challenge but we will continue to touch on it throughout the next few lessons. We have also been working on counting to 100 as a class. When we reach our goal we get extra choice time. We made it to 59 this week...we do this every day!
Science: We spent this week learning about Thanksgiving. We learned about the first Thanksgiving and what it means to be thankful. We also talked a lot about the things we are thankful for!
Gabe G Is Thankful For...
Karlee Is Thankful For...

What's Coming up Next Week?
We will be working on the letter Mm and the sight words "for"and "have".
We will be having a "Thanksgiving Feast" on Wednesday November 25th. We ask that each student bring an ingredient to add to our feast. We are making a GORP (trail mix) with everyone's ingredients. Great Ingredients for this include:
- M&Ms
- Peanuts
- Raisins
- cereal
- pretzels
- chocolate chips
- mini marshmallows
- popcorn
- dried fruit
- Goldfish
If you have any questions, please let me know. You can bring your ingredient in anytime before Wednesday 25th. Thanks to those who already brought them in!!
Book orders are due December 4th so we can have the orders back in time for Christmas. If you are ordering as a gift and would like them to remain a secret, please let me know and I will do my best to make that happen!! Remember you can order online using our class code LFRWD!
Please remember November 25th is an Early Release. The students will be let out at 1. Ms. Quick will not be at school that day.
There is no school on November 26th and 27th. Happy Thanksgiving!
The weather has been getting very cold! Please make sure to send your child to school with a hat, mittens, and coat each day. When we get snow, boots and snow pants are a must in order to go outside!
