Estacada High School

October 18th, 2020

Due to our districts move back to comprehensive distance learning we will be rescheduling our picture retake day. Picture retakes will not take place this coming Monday, October 19th.

Your Voice is Needed

Estacada High School Families,

Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work, and families to send their children for a good education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback. You will need to take one survey for every building your children attend school.

Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be sent to each school and the Superintendent. Then, the results of the survey will be shared with parents and the community.

The survey can be accessed online at: Estacada School District Parent Satisfaction Survey.

The survey will be open until October 30th.

Thank you for your interest in and support of your child’s education with us. Please contact me if you have any questions concerning the survey.

Cameras On During Class

Dear EHS,

We want to see you!! We understand that having the camera on during Zoom can be uncomfortable therefore it is not required. However, teachers want to see you when possible. Being able to see you helps teachers connect, build community, and adjust instruction to ensure everyone is getting what they need. Please work to have your cameras on or at least add a photo of yourself (school appropriate) to your profile.

Attendance at EHS

Dear EHS Students and Families,

As we settle into the 20-21 school year, I want to clarify our attendance expectations for Comprehensive Distance Learning. It is a two-part system. Students must engage in their Zoom classes or make a connection with their teacher AND complete the required assignment/task by 7am the next day.

For a student to be marked as present for a class period they must meet the following:

  1. Meaningfully engage with their teacher and peers through live Zoom classes, email, discussion postings, etc.

    1. Example of meaningful- Log in and participate in Zoom class meeting. Or email the teacher “Ms. Hudson, I viewed your zoom recording from today’s class and I am reading Chapter 4 today. Can you remind me of the requirements for the response I need to submit? Thank you-student”

AND

  1. Submit a completed assigned task.

Parents-Set up an observer account to monitor your students education.
