What I Love To Read -By: Morgan Eichler

This, for me, is the best book I have had the privilege of reading. This contemporary Christian novel consists of the first three books of the Christy Miller Series. Christy Miller is a spunky teenager who moves from Wisconsin to California. Eager for the change, but hesitant of the new, Christy visits her Uncle and Aunt for a summer in Newport Beach, California. There she meets Todd Spencer, an easygoing surfer and Christian, who, throughout the story, becomes a romantic interest. Christy promised to her parents that she would not do anything that she would regret later, and some of her new beach friends are accustomed to do things Christy wouldn't normally do. But Todd and his friends give Christy a chance for a new beginning and a new image of all things eternal. This new beam of hope opens the question of whether or not Christy really will live up to her summer promise to her parents. This question keeps the mysteries coming and gives an amazing cliff hanger that excites you to open the next novel.
"He leaned down, right in the middle of the street, in front of the whole world, and gently pressed his lips against hers. A brief, tender kiss. The kind that only comes from innocent love and whose memory lasts a lifetime."
"When the mandolin player plucked his last chord, he lifted his head. The gaze from his screaming silver-blue eyes shot across the room and sliced Christy right through the heart."
"May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and give you his peace. And may you always love Jesus first, above all else."

“[A God-thing is] when something happens in your life, and you look at it and can't explain how or why it happened, but you know there's a reason for it. You know that God is doing something in your life, and it changes you. There's no other way to explain it except to see it as a God thing.”
