Dear Jackie Robinson K-8 Community,

Hope everyone had a restful weekend and were able to take advantage of such great weather!

Thanks to the approximately 50 Middle School families and 155 students that joined us this past week to listen to reopening plans.

This week we welcome our middle school in-person hybrid students back on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and our all-virtual students will also begin a new schedule for their at-home Zoom instruction. Here's to a long-anticipated and successful transition!

1. Middle School Cohort A/Cohort B: Some students' teachers and class periods will change as of Monday morning before school begins, due to the new cohort groups that begin this week. Please check Student Vue (students) or Parent Vue for the class/teacher schedules before 8:00 am on Monday (these will not load until midnight tonight). Below find a sample schedule for in-person and on-line students.

2. Kindergarten Enrollment: Robinson is actively seeking in-coming kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year. Please help to get the word out and encourage others to consider Robinson as their school.

3. Summer School at Robinson- Robinson has been approved to have selected grade levels participate in this summer's free district SEAL Program at the Butler site (Supports, Enrichment, and Accelerated Learning).

The dates will be June 28 - July 23, 5 days a week, 8:30-12:00 noon. Look and complete form below.

4. Free Grab-and-Go Meals- Free grab-and-go meals (breakfast, lunch, snack, and supper) are available daily from outside of our Robinson main entry gate.

In-person elementary students will be provided with a lunch bag before leaving their classroom.

5. Early Out Thursdays/Elementary- The new early out dismissal times on Thursdays for elementary are: 10:00 am for in-person students and 1:30 pm for online-at-home students. Please mark your calendars, as there is no after-school supervision.

6. IMPORTANT: EMERGENCY CONTACT UPDATES- All families are reminded to update your emergency contact information in ParentVue, especially with students who are returning on campus.

7. Elementary and Middle School In-Person Daily Health Screening Questions- A reminder that all in-person families will receive a Health Screening Google Form email/text message every morning asking important questions. Thank you for your attention to how important this process is to everyone's safety.

Thank you for your time and patience in adapting to all of the re-opening procedures.

Hello Dolphin Parents!

It’s Ms. Denise and I want to let you know that I’m back! Back for FUN and ADVENTURES from the WRAP program to help make Virtual Programming for our JROB students something for them to look forward to!

I’ve compiled a list of activities that I’m sure will have them asking for more! For example, courtesy of the California Science Museum, I will be playing the role of “The Gross Scientist! The kids will be learning things like Sticky Snot, Let It Rip (Why do farts make sounds?), Spill Your Guts (Why vomiting is important!), and Germ Busters. For these and other hands-on activities, WE will provide the kids with the supplies needed for the activity.

We will recognize some Fun Facts of the day (Chinese New Year, Random Act of Kindness Day, Make a Friend Day, and more!) For Friday’s Fun Day, we’ll do some singing and dancing to end the week on a good note!

There will also be Yoga and Stretching classes, along with instructions on how to make a healthy snack, and The Boys & Girls Club will be providing the necessary supplies/ingredients!

This program is open to all JROB students from 2:30-4:30 and is sure to fill up fast, so be sure to fill out the application by going to this link:
