Marian Anderson

Marian Anderson was a brave woman who stood up for what she believed in. She also was the first African American woman to ever perform with the renowned Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Marian also had limits to where she could sing just because she was African American. People said that she had a rich beautiful voice.

She helped other people that thought that they couldn't do anything and gave them spirit and hope.
