Home & School's Great American Fundraiser
Our annual Home & School fundraiser starts today. Your child will be sent home with a packet of information regarding the sale. The fundraiser will run from September 8th-22nd.
We would like to share that in addition to the paper order forms in the packets, Great American offers an online store! Your child will personally receive credit toward earning prizes from any item ordered online. The online store offers a wider selection of merchandise as well as online payment. Orders purchased online will be shipped direct to the address provided.

You will see the great prize incentive we have for students this year is a BLOCK PARTY. Students selling 15 or more items will earn a RIDE IN STYLE opportunity as they are picked up from school in a limo for lunch at McDonald's. Please help motivate our students by encouraging them and reminding them to ask your close neighbors and friends for support.
Thank you for all your assistance in making this a success! We couldn’t do it without you!

Humble and Kind - Quarterly Service Projects
For our first quarter focus, we are reaching outside our own community. We have adopted a school in Texas that was impacted by Hurricane Harvey. I have been in contact with the principal at Mitchell Elementary School. At this time, they are still determining their needs. We will keep you informed as to the specific items that will most benefit their students and families. What a great opportunity to demonstrate to our students the impact of choosing to be humble and kind.
Elementary Cheer Fair
The elementary cheer fair students are performing cheers & a dance at half-time of the varsity game tonight against the Eldon Mustangs. The varsity game starts at 7:00 pm. Girls are encouraged to sit in the bleachers next to the student section with the JV Cheerleaders until they take the field at half-time. All participants are free to leave at the conclusion of the performance. We ask that the girls wear their cheer fair shirt and bow to the game. It does not matter what kind of pants, leggings or skirts they wear. Your child will receive free admission to the game that night.
Maker Space Items Needed
As we begin the initial phases of this initiative, we are asking for supplies. We have a storage space for materials created for easy access to students and staff. It isn't necessary to purchase these items new, but things you may have around the house. Periodically we may have new requests, but for now a list of items has been created to get us started.
- straws
- string/yarn
- tape
- paper towel rolls
- toilet paper rolls
- cotton
- Q-tips
- popsicle sticks
- soda bottle lids
- pipe cleaner
- clothespins
- magnets
- coffee filters
- paper plates
- marbles
- newspaper
Check out our kids in action in the video below to see first hand what these supplies will be used for. Their enthusiasm is priceless. If you have additional questions or would like additional information about STEAM/STEM, feel free to contact me at any time. Blair Oaks Elementary teachers, administration, and staff realize how incredibly blessed we are to have parents like you. We thank you for your ongoing support.
