Principal Candidate Pool,

As we all begin to wind down the school year and gear up our for the upcoming one, I wanted to touch base with you all in regards to the hiring process for 2019-2020 principal vacancies.

Having completed our leadership seminars and on-site observations phase, you all were designated as our Principal Candidate Pool. As such, with the next phase of our process, you may be called to interview for school-specific principal vacancies.

The graphics below illustrate the overall process and the next steps executive directors will take to identify best-fit candidates to fill principal vacancies. As discussed during our last seminar and outlined on the second graphic below, all of the data from the entire process has been compiled for executive directors to utilize in their selection of potential candidates.

Additionally, at the last leadership seminar, it was asked how will you know where the vacancies are in the district. I've included a link that has been added to the job posting. This is a list that is maintained by HCM and updated as vacancies arise. We also have updated the FAQ with recent inquiries.

Finally, a belated CONGRATULATIONS to Phillip Potter and Johanna Bahena who participated in the new hiring process this year and were selected as new principals this semester. Best of luck Phillip and Johanna as you close out your first semester as a principal!

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Menay Harris
