Cap, Gown, and tassel are the required attire:
Please dress appropriately. Dress clothes underneath the gowns are appropriate. Ladies hair pins if there is a lot of wind. Do not have to wear the white collars…too much trouble.
No tape or messages on the top of the cap or any other place.
A classy ceremony……….present yourself, family, and LPHS in an appropriate manner. Please explain to your family members that we have one big applause at the end of the ceremony…..do this so everyone’s name can be heard during the ceremony.

TICKETS: 6 for Kiwanis, 4 for Slicer Gymnasium
Tickets have already been distributed through SRT classes and through Mrs. Rice in the front office. Please do not misplace these tickets….can NOT hand out any more tickets. Please have your family members attending the ceremony come in all together and sit all together. We need to keep in mind that social distancing protocols are still in place and need to be followed.
Graduation Diagrams
Students will be seated alphabetically throughout the track. Students with the last names A-M will enter at gate 6 (diagram). Students with the last names N-Z will enter at gate 5 (diagram). Students with the last names beginning with “A” will be in the southwest corner then work all the way around the track ending with Z’s in the northwest corner (see diagram). Index (name) Cards with student names and masks will be placed on each chair. Students are to sit in the chair where their index (name) card is placed. Masks are to be worn. The index cards are used for the reader to read your name as you walk across the stage….please do not misplace your index (name) card. Please stay at least 6 feet apart when moving toward the stage.
INDEX CARDS:
Students must keep this card and present it to the reader to have your name read….do not misplace this card. The reader will read your name from the cards. Pronunciations---we have multiple readers this year and we will do the best we can to make sure names are pronounced correctly.
Diploma covers and Diplomas:
Students will receive the black diploma cover as they walk across the stage.
School Counselors will handout the actual diploma (in an envelope) to each student as they are walking back to their original chair
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS:
If you are college bound and need to have a final transcript sent to the institution you are planning to attend…..please make sure you have completed the final transcript request form in the guidance office prior to the last day of school.
FAILURE TO COMPLY IN A RESPECTFUL AND ORDERLY MANNER WILL RESULT IN YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE CEREMONY. THIS INCLUDES ANY DISCIPLINARY ISSUES THROUGHOUT THE REMAINING DAYS OF SCHOOL. MAKE GREAT CHOICES!
