Message from the Principal
We're BACK! I am eager to see all of you in person again! I hope you are all well rested. Our Barbieri educators are ready to welcome our hawks back to school!
This summer I traveled with friends and family! It was quite a busy summer but a great one! My family traveled to Disney and it was touching to see how happy my son was in this magical place! The last time I visited Disney I was 12! It was a great family vacation! I hope you all enjoyed time with friends and family too! We all needed this time to recharge and relax to return refreshed for our students. They deserve it!
We are not yet at a "typical" school year. It is truly unfortunate. Due to the rise in COVID-19 breakthrough cases and the newly developed Delta Variant some COVID protocols will remain in effect at our school.
DOs
- MASKS must be worn by everyone inside the building! Students and staff must wear masks!
- We will continue to use the bistro and half of the gym to serve breakfast and lunch.
- We will continue to physically distance when possible.
- We will continue to stay home if we are not feeling well. PLEASE KEEP OUR HAWKS HOME IF THEY ARE NOT FEELING WELL!
- We will continue to wash our hands whenever possible and sanitize frequently throughout the day.
DONTs
- We don't have to complete MyMedBot (YAY!!!)
Com mucho aprecio,
Maria

Bienvenidos a la Familia Barbieri!!!
Dania Dillon-Caballero, Art Teacher, Room 320
Hi! My name is Sra. Dillon. I will be one of the art teachers at Barbieri this year. I was born and raised in Colombia, South America. There, I attended college and graduated as an Industrial Designer. I moved to the United States in 2001. I worked in Arts and Crafts making glass objects and in the Food Industry making pastries. When my oldest daughter started Kindergarten at Barbieri, I fell in love with the whole community. I volunteered first, then I got hired as an assistant teacher and finally, I decided to become an art teacher. I enjoy swimming, hiking, and reading. I love spending time with my family and my friends. I am very excited to get to know the students and to teach them about what I am most passionate about: Art!
Hola! Mi nombre es Sra. Dillon. Me gusta nadar, caminar y leer. Me encanta estar con mi familia y mis amigos. Estoy muy emocionada por conocer a los alumnos y por enseñarles acerca de lo que más me apasiona: arte!

Sara Barrios-Diaz, Grade 2 Bilingual Teacher, Room 204
I like to inspire my students and make them feel that everything is possible if there is effort and desire, accompany them and help them achieve their goals, they are my best teachers. That is why I trust public education and especially our Framingham district.
I am honored to be part of the Barbieri team, which has been and is so important in the development of the culturally rich and diverse Framingham Public Schools community.
I hope to have your help in these beginnings and learn a lot from the experience. I remain at your disposal for everything you need and I wish you a happy return."

Arrivals & Dismissals
We will continue to maintain the same processes for arrivals and dismissals. After much practice and revisions we seemed to be in a good place at the end of the year. These procedures also support less visitors inside of the building. Visitors are allowed in school but if its not necessary its best to continue to maintain the procedures we have in place.
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY TO SCHOOL. STAFF ARE NOT ON DUTY UNTIL 8:50AM. WE CAN NOT UNLOAD CARS AND BUSES UNTIL 8:50AM. Arriving early last year caused major traffic jams that backed into Dudley Road and Franklin Street. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Once we begin to unload cars in the parent drop off route our system runs pretty quickly. THANK YOU FAMILIES!!!!
- Please don't come early, as it creates a traffic jam! (GRACIAS)
- Please say goodbye to our little hawks inside your car. Stepping outside of the car causes delays to the parents/guardians behind you. (Kisses and hugs inside the car and at home :-)
- Barbieri staff ARE ON DUTY EVERYWHERE assisting students in making their way in between cars and support students as they walk across safely into the school building.
Dismissal---Pick up will be by door 1 and door 29 as they were last year. Door 1 will be grades K-2 and door 29 grades 3-5.
