Today’s educators are willing to make a professional commitment to increasing academic rigor for all students. The question is “How?” Students do not want to be bored sitting in classrooms where engagement is minimal, rigor is limited, and nothing of substance is learned. This interactive workshop will highlight ways to actively engage students in academic endeavors while processing information at the highest levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge.

About the Facilitator
Judy is the author of nine books designed to assist teachers with instructional practices and is a regular presenter for the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. She is the lead trainer for the Ed Leaders Network on Restorative Practices and Classroom Management and has developed a series of interactive video training programs with the Illinois Principals Association on this topic. Judy’s understanding of academic engagement and restorative practices, as well her practical and pragmatic approach for supporting student behavior in a manner that protects everyone’s dignity, is recognized by educators throughout the United States.
