Missouri Compromise is passed!
Today was a wonderful day for Missouri. Missouri has always wanted to become a slave state but they know they were going to get denied because that would make the Slave state -to- free state ratio unequal. So today, the Congress decided to keep the peace, as they organized a two -part compromise. It granted Missouri's request of becoming a slave state but it also made Main become a free state. Along with this, today was also the day that came with the Missouri Compromise Line. Creating a boundary between slave and free states. Missouri has been fighting this battle since December of 1819. They finally got their wish in March of 1820.
The separation line comes to be!
The line that had came with the Missouri compromise had created something close to what we call a boarder. This line really represented what states were allowed to have slaves and what states were not. Slavery was to be excluded from the Louisiana Purchase north lands of 36 degrees and 30 minutes.

The Monroe Doctrine.
Today was the day that the U.S signed on the foreign policy that stated if there are any further efforts by the European nations to colonize land or interfere with states in North or South America would be viewed as acts of aggression. These ideas were much earlier grounded such as in George Washington's "Farewell Address"
The Indians have been REMOVED!
Today is the day, May 28, 1830 during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. This law has now authorized the president to negotiate with Northern Indian tribes for removal. Some of the tribes have agreed to go peacefully, and many had seemed to resist.
