Why are Carbohydrates the most important?
Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for any human being. They are found in most of the items that we consume. When, and only when, we eat an intensive amount of carbohydrates will they become damaging to your body. They are found within fruits, veggies, grain, seeds, beans, etc. Pretty much the majority of our diet.
Fruit
Fruit is a huge food goup that is consumed in our diet. It's found in juice, smoothies, generic snacks (even the smallest amount), as well as just simple fruits that we eat.
Grain
Grain is in bread products. Which make: waffles, pop tarts, toast, sandwiches, hot pockets, BLT's. Pretty much anything you can think of.
Veggies
Vegetables are a little less common, since Americans these days see them as the food they're being forced to eat in order to stay healthy. However, they are still found within many soups and meals.
Functions
*main source of energy for daily activities
*assists in regulating motabolism
*add taste to many unappetizing foods
*helps maintain fat ratio within the body
