The Westmoreland Wrap Up
September 2022
Welcome Back!
Dear Westmoreland Families,
Welcome back to another great year at Westmoreland! Things are slowly inching back to normalcy and our school is beginning to resemble traditional classroom instruction as we remember it.
As always, the Westmoreland Staff has been working hard over the summer months preparing for another exciting year working with your children. Mr. Leo and his team continue to outdo themselves and our building looks amazing. We can't wait for our students to arrive to kick off the new school year!
Tomorrow, August 26th at 3pm, you will be able to access your child's teacher's name on the Genesis Parent Portal. This information is viewable on the summary tab. The required forms posted on the Portal must be completed before you will be able to view the summary tab.
Attached below, you will find a copy of my "official" welcome back letter for the 22-23 school year. This letter (hopefully) contains the answers to many logistical questions you may have regarding daily line up, dismissal, lunch, etc... Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
I welcome the opportunity to talk with you should have any questions or concerns about the upcoming school year. You can always reach me via email at cdellaglio@fairlawnschools.org or by calling (201)794-5490. I look forward to collaborating with you and your child throughout the year to provide a productive and safe learning environment that supports student achievement.
See you on September 6th!
Christy Dell'Aglio
Principal

The Westmoreland PTO
The current 22-23 PTO Board consists of the following volunteers:
Kristen Edson, President
Tania Geraghty, Vice President
Keisha Austin, Treasurer
Krystal Blanco, Corresponding Secretary
Maria Altamirano, Recording Secretary
Thanks to their fundraising efforts and support, our students enjoy many assembly programs throughout the school year, access to additional laptop carts, new reading rugs and classroom supplies, furnishings and seating for our outdoor learning spaces and blacktop games and stencils for recess. This year, they will be donating a new AV system for our gymnasium to enhance presentations for our students and parents.
The PTO runs book fairs, spirit wear sales, holiday dances and optional pizza lunch sales on early dismissal days. They provide special T-shirts for our "Do the Right Thing" initiative and are always looking for additional ways to support student growth and enhance learning.
The PTO also shows their love and on-going support for our staff many times throughout the school year. We encourage you to attend our 1st PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 14th at 7pm in the Media Center.
