Important Reminder
This year we have four special-needs buses that need to park in our parking lot. The parking spots with the long white lines were designed for bus parking. I thought we only had to have three but they’ve asked for more. If one these cars belong to you please move it if you get a chance. We are asking everyone to please not park in the parking spots to the right of the light closest to the trailers.
Action Item:

Personalized Learning
This year some of our work will be devoted to creating Personalized Learning classrooms. Our first steps toward personalizing learning for our students is to collect information about the attitudes and feelings our stakeholders hold about school. In order to gather this information, we must conduct personal interviews with students, teachers, and parents. We know it’s a busy time of year, but if possible, we are hoping two teachers from each grade level/department will participate in a group interview. We’ve set aside four afternoons to meet for interviews. Please use this link to sign up to participate. Each group interview will have 4-5 questions. If you are unable to attend any of these dates, please let us know, and we’ll come to you when you can meet. Interviews are not mandatory, but we’d be so grateful for your willingness to participate!
Thank you,
Traci & Carol Ann

Big 20 Information
The Fall Big 20 is a basic skills math assessment that can help to identify gaps in fundamental numeracy skills from the previous grade level. Since this test is EXACTLY the same as the Big 20 most students took in May of 2019, we are NOT requiring the Fall Big 20 to be administered to students who have a score from the May 2019 Big 20. You will need to administer to new students an/or students without scores.
If, however, you wish to administer the Fall Big 20 to all your students, it is now published in SchoolCity and will be available until August 30. (See Dr. Lack’s email).
If you have any questions, please see Katie Colson.

Fire Drill Reminders
A HUGE thank you for a great 1st fire drill. Here are just a few reminders and info:
- I am not sure we have shared this so I apologize. Please do not park in the long parking spots on the side parking lot. These are the parking spots to the right of the light pole closest to the trailers. These spots are reserved for bus parking after they run their morning routes. Unfortunately the buses have been unable to park in their spots and therefore they have been parking close to the trailers meaning emergency vehicles could not access the school if needed.
- All café staff needs to go to the side parking lot and not the back field
- Please make sure you have an updated roster in your red safety folder
