Groveland Elementary School
Summer 2013 Newsletter
Wishing You A Great Summer!
As the school year comes to a close, we wish to thank the entire Groveland Community for all they have done this year to ensure another year of excellence for our students. Thank you for instilling in our students the tenets of our Great Grizzly Program. It is through exhibiting Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation and Sportsmanship, that our students meet success and learn valuable life lessons along the way. Our Groveland Home and School Association continues to support our students in so many ways. We could not thank you enough for all you do for our students and families.
We wish our 6th graders the best of luck as they enter the "middle school" world! Always remember to live your lives like a true great grizzly - valuing respect, responsibility, cooperation, and sportsmanship. We know that you will continue to make us proud.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the staff members who will be moving on from Groveland. Please join us in wishing all the best to the following staff members:

Counselors Corner
From Kristen Sleicher - School Counselor:
On behalf of Mrs. Kolpack and I, please accept these words of appreciation for supporting the counseling program and the other initiatives we facilitated this year such as Groveland’s Giving Grove, Random Acts of Kindness, and of course our Great Grizzly program. We were grateful to have the opporutunity join with the Groveland families to help others in need and teach the kids values that they will utilize throughout their lives.
As I will be moving on to Warwick next year, I wanted to extend my appreciation to the families and students whom I worked with. I have been inspired by your children’s resilience, empathy, and compassion towards others during my years at Groveland. The values they hold are clearly due to the combined efforts of the extraordinary teachers, staff, parents, and citizens whom guide them. Groveland is a special school and community and it will always occupy a special place in my heart.
