- May 6th Family Appreciation Day 11-1PM
- Math State test May 2 & 3
- Saturday Academy Under the Sea exhibit May 6 10:30 - 11:30am
- NYSESLAT Assessments May 16, 17 & 18th
- Debate team championship May 20th
- District wide Science fair May 20th
Please make sure that our students are rested on the day of the exams; eat a good breakfast or come to school for breakfast. It starts at 7:30AM.

Spring Egg Hunt Grades Pre-K to 2nd grade participated in our annual egg hunt. Every child that participated went home with a bag of eggs. | ELA State TestWe are so proud of all the 3rd though 5th graders for doing their BEST on the ELA Test! The students completed their ELA state test on April 19th & 20th. On Monday April 24th the students celebrated with CAKE. | Swimming for 2nd Grade! We are so excited that 2 of our 2nd grader classes are able to participate in swimming lessons every week. |

The students completed their ELA state test on April 19th & 20th. On Monday April 24th the students celebrated with CAKE.
The unstoppable Debate Team Congratulations to our 3rd Place winners from the National Debate Society. On May 20th they will be competing in the American Debate League Championship for Elementary schools. | Dance Party All students had an opportunity take part in the dance. Students just had to read over the break and submit their reading logs. Congratulations to the 150 students who read over the break! Keep up the good job! | Test-Taking Strategies for Elementary Students1. Reread the question. Make sure you understand what is being asked. 2. Come up with an answer to the question before looking at the list of choices. 3. Read ALL of the answers and cross out the choices that don’t make sense. 4. Underline the section in the text or question that supports your reasoning. 5. Look carefully at similar-sounding answers. Find the more precise answer.
6. Select “All of the above” if two or three answers seem correct. |
