Principal's Pen

Dear Bishop Baraga Families,

Here we are in the fourth week of Easter. It feels odd to have not gone to Mass in all this time. I hope your families are finding ways to celebrate the Lord's Day. I am a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph parish and we use a religious education program called Family Formation. Some of you are familiar with this, but for those who are not, the link below provides one of the family lessons from this program on the Holy Spirit. If your children struggle to sit through watching Mass on television, you may find this to be a great alternative.

Prior to the school closure we had placed an order at AdvataPrint for school spirit wear. That order was picked up this week and is available at the school for pick-up. The school office is closed, but Mrs. Steinbrecher has started working in the office during limited hours. Please email the office (office@baragaup.com) to arrange a time for pick-up. I am also at the office each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can stop in at those times or call me to set up another time. (734-547-0533)

Have a wonderful week!

God bless,

Angela Oller

Library Resources

Dickinson County Library has many resources available at this time. Please click on the links below to access their online materials. The first link is for those who already have a library card. If you do not have a library card click on the second link to get one.
During this school closure we are thinking of all those students who have been celebrating birthdays! We miss celebrating with you, but rest assured that we are thinking about all of you and thanking God for the gift of you! Thank you to Mrs. Sage for delivering birthday packages and to those parents who have been sending in pictures. We appreciate it!

8th Grade Graduation

Our 8th grade graduation has been postponed. We will be working with our four pastors to set a date this summer to reschedule this important event. Please keep our 8th graders in your prayers during this time. This is quite an unexpected end to their 8th grade year.

Financial Aid and Re-enrollment

We are in the process of enrolling families for next year. Mrs. Steinbrecher and I will be contacting you if you have not yet re-enrolled. We can either email your enrollment information or mail it to you. Just a reminder, in order to re-enroll we need a signed tuition contract as well as a $50 enrollment fee.

We have only one slot available in our morning pre-kindergarten. If you know anyone interested in preschool or pre-kindergarten, they should enroll soon, before there are no longer spaces available.

If you plan to apply for financial aid, you must do so soon. The financial aid committee is meeting this month. If you do not have an application in FACTS, you will not be considered for financial aid. Please contact me if you have any questions about the application process,

Flat Mrs. Gauthier

Each of the preschool and pre-kindergarten students received a "flat" Mrs. Gauthier in the mail. They are going on adventures with her and taking pictures. It's so much fun to see all they are doing.

Bishop Baraga Catholic School

The office remains closed. Please email office@baragaup.com if you need to set up a time to visit the school.
