Bishop Baraga Beacon
May 4, 2020
Here we are in the fourth week of Easter. It feels odd to have not gone to Mass in all this time. I hope your families are finding ways to celebrate the Lord's Day. I am a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph parish and we use a religious education program called Family Formation. Some of you are familiar with this, but for those who are not, the link below provides one of the family lessons from this program on the Holy Spirit. If your children struggle to sit through watching Mass on television, you may find this to be a great alternative.
Prior to the school closure we had placed an order at AdvataPrint for school spirit wear. That order was picked up this week and is available at the school for pick-up. The school office is closed, but Mrs. Steinbrecher has started working in the office during limited hours. Please email the office (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange a time for pick-up. I am also at the office each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can stop in at those times or call me to set up another time. (734-547-0533)
Have a wonderful week!
8th Grade Graduation
Financial Aid and Re-enrollment
We have only one slot available in our morning pre-kindergarten. If you know anyone interested in preschool or pre-kindergarten, they should enroll soon, before there are no longer spaces available.
If you plan to apply for financial aid, you must do so soon. The financial aid committee is meeting this month. If you do not have an application in FACTS, you will not be considered for financial aid. Please contact me if you have any questions about the application process,
