General information
- On Halloween we will have a lunch activity for all grades. Bring your lunch to the library and tell ghost stories, this is an exception to the pass during lunch rule.
- Please talk to Mrs. Justice (justicet@sherrard.us) or Ms. Bennin (benninj@sherrard.us) if you have any questions.
- Please join us for our Reading Challenge this year! Choose a reading goal for yourself, or challenge Ms. Bennin! Fill out the forms in the library.
- Due to the high volume of Chromebook repairs, we will only give out a loaner for students who left their Chromebook at home or need their Chromebook charged if we have eight or more loaners left. We will always give out loaners for repairs.
- If you find a lost Chromebook, please bring it to the library.
- Teen Advisory Board meets every Friday before school. Everyone is welcome to join!
- The Sherrard public library also has a lot of October Events.

Focus Fiction Section: Thriller
This form of story generally features a mystery where there is a ticking clock of some kind - maybe the main character receives a letter that lets them know a crime will occur unless they solve a puzzle, or that a terrorist attack needs to be stopped. Students that love a fast - paced, action driven story may enjoy thrillers.
Focus Database: Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context
A great database for students working on argumentative essays, or trying to find current information on a wide variety of topics.
Focus Nonfiction Section: 100's
If you are looking for books on ghosts, and other supernatural beings, this is the section for you. At the same time, students looking for explanations of logic, and Eastern and Western philosophy should also look here.
