Computer Chronicles

Welcome back!
- I've consolidated the district's networks in to one. All your desktop PCs are part of the new SAPS network. What this means for you is quicker login times. The downside is that every PC was reset, so you'll have to setup your MFP settings again to connect to your building printers. Link is below.
- Moving forward with our GAFE initiative, all the calendars for resources, labs, Chromebook carts, etc. have been migrated to Google Calendar. I've linked a video below explaining the new process. It's not from our district, but you'll get the idea of how to set it up.
- New Help Desk: https://sapublicschools.freshdesk.com/. You can access from this link as well as the Technology Intranet. Use the login using Google button when you go there to make your life easier.
- If you have any questions, contact me Slack (@melson). Don’t have Slack yet? Get it!
Sharp MFP Printer Setup
Here is the link to the directions to setup printing in your building: Sharp MFP Printer Setup.
Important: If you are in the MHS, you will need to also setup your custom folder.
Booking Calendar Resources
Please watch this video to familiarize yourself with the process. I will have a few Tech T-days on the topic as well. It's from another school, but our process is the same.

Head back to school with new features in Google Classroom
As teachers gear up for the new school year, we’re adding a number of new features in Google Classroom to help them save time, engage with students, and keep everyone organized. Most of these features are rolling out this week, with others coming soon.
